@massivelyop Still feeding my #valheim addiction, but I plan to go back to #NewWorld for the fresh start servers that open in a few days. I'll likely stick with that until the population crash.

Times have changed in #Valheim. Asch has perfected his hunting technique. He's even cleared a dungeon with help from my son. He has two wild boars in a pen, in the hopes they will eventually be domesticated. So far they remain very angry.
Another dawn in #Valheim. Asch proudly wears a new pair of trousers, as he contemplates the day's hunt. (edit, keep forgetting to include the screenshot)
It's Saturday, so back at it. #Valheim Day 23. Asch has grown comfortable, and explored this strange land. He's built himself a bow, so finally has a chance of bringing down those elusive deer. He knows Odin expects him to fight the great beasts, but Asch will not be hurried. He has a nice house with a semi-detatched kitchen, an angry boar in captivity, and a fetching leather shirt. He is going to have to figure out a few more tools, though.
#Valheim about day 7, but I've lost track. Asch has a home. A bit rough in places, but he hasn't been murdered by skeletons in a while.
I still have a lot to learn about building, but I have the fundamentals down.
Today in #Valheim we worked at Sky Harbour. We first used this location as a forward operating base for our battle with The Elder. We found a stone tower that was almost entirely intact and set up our camp. After we battled The Elder, we mined a copper deposit nearby and built a dock. After @skyfire747 and I discovered that sea serpents live in the harbour, we built a shallow pond on the shore to drag them into. Sky Harbour essentially became like a whaling operation, but for terrifying sea serpents. We also have mountains nearby, so we may be using it as a place for capturing, taming, and breeding wolves. The hole left by our copper mining has now been prepared to build a grand keep to accommodate our operations. Here are a couple of shots of our construction efforts to this point.
Guten Morgen!
So yesterday's Valheim turned into an absolute disaster.
We tried to battle Yagluth.
Ended up getting killed and our portal destroyed. Even the landscape was against us - lots of water that unequipped our weapons when thrown into it.
So this morning, we sailed back in and grabbed my friend's grave. Underestimated the reach of aggro, he killed me again... at least I got my good stuff back after that. And we have a portal at a safe distance now.
#Valheim screenshots incoming! I absolutely love building stuff in this game. It’s the best part. The wall around Rivalund is a massive project requiring huge earthworks and guard towers. I’m still working out the details of the design but I think it’s starting to look pretty good. We had @trelord75 join us today. We mined some metals, slayed a couple of trolls, hunted game, and even founded a new outpost and linked it with a portal.

Valheim begins dropping teases for its next update due in the fall

2020: Started recording original songs and uploading to Soundcloud to a positive reception. Original project was to grab people I had worked with in the past and record something with them. Recorded a few songs with Reid playing some bass and guitar parts on various tracks, and he sung Proud Woman. Recorded one song with Kaaren which Reid also played some guitar on.
2021: Worked on some music solo after having some difficulties with arranging recording sessions with others. Undertook the massive task of learning Blender to make the Space Pop music video.
2022: Lost job. Lost a ton of project files from a computer crash. Attempted and catastrophically failed to assemble a band to take #DgarMusic to the live scene. Ended up deciding that if Harry Nilsson can write songs without ever performing live, so can I. Got some part time creative work. Then #Dgar joined Mastodon.
2023: Told awful jokes, posted terrible memes, and promoted my music on Mastodon. Met amazing Fedizens and connected with incredible musicians, songwriters, and artists. Got played on underground online radio stations, created my own hashtags, and grew my audience.
2024: Wanted to get back into recording, so my New Years Resolution was to write a song a month. Did my first collaboration with an artist from another country (@Onj) which was awesome. I ended up breaking my new years resolution after six months and six new songs after family tragedy struck thrice. My mother passed away, and a few weeks later, we lost my older sister in a traffic accident. The stress of all this may have been the reason my younger sister then presented with “Functional Neurological Disorder”, or #FND. Thankfully she is on the road to recovery now, although that road seems very long and difficult. I’m currently dabbling with some YouTube projects while I get my songwriting mojo back, namely #CillasGarden, and a #Valheim Let’s Play.
Future: I’m having trouble writing songs at the moment - I’m not in the right headspace, I guess. I’m jotting down ideas here and there, but I’m also toying with the idea of working on some sort of album. I really want to do a #Satisfactory Let’s Play when 1.0 drops next month too. I also have to figure out how to get more people to listen to my #music because the stats would suggest only about 1% of the people following me have ever played one of my tracks. The stats are on the right trajectory though which, I hope, is an indication that I’m doing something right.
Once again, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of you who enjoy my work and share this journey with me. Your support has kept me going, even when all I wanted to do was give up.
Big love. Forever grateful.
@foxes_in_love Kinda me picking blueberries in #Valheim.
