The #Framework Laptop 13 is a slightly unusual size and aspect ratio. So, instead of getting a case that "kind of" fits, I had one custom made from this great #Canadian artist from #Quebec on #Etsy who specializes in making things from kimono fabrics. This is my second one from them and the quality of both is excellent. If you are in the market for a new case, please give their shop a look:

Further publishing and promotion of "Careless People: A Cautionary Tale of Power, Greed and Lost Idealism," by former Meta employee Sarah Wynn-Williams, must stop immediately, according to an arbitrator's ruling in a case Meta brought against Wynn-Williams and her publisher, Flatiron Books. Wynn-Williams must also stop making disparaging remarks against Meta and its employees. @theverge says it's unclear if the arbitrator has authority to halt publication, or what can be done to put the genie back in the bottle, given that the book was published this week and is already available in stores. Meta says that the ruling "affirms that Sarah Wynn-Williams' false and defamatory book should never have been published." Wynn-Williams left Meta eight years ago; the book details alleged claims of sexual harassment, including by current policy chief Joel Kaplan.

Any act of repair a gratifying gesture of refusal and subversion these days. A poke in the eye to corporate waste and consumer lassitude.

Feeling like renegade heating engineer Harry Tuttle (Robert De Niro) of ‘Brazil’ right now, having decided: eff no, not into landfill—not yet.

And how fitting: while finishing up, @pluralistic heard on CBC radio discussing DCA & right-to-repair.
