My favourite proposed demonstration against Musk & Tesla is this:

Enter a Tesla dealership, engage the dealer(s) in an extended discussion of the car (& EVs more generally, perhaps), maybe even take the car for a test drive;

then after wasting an hour or so politely inform them that you're going away to think about it;

Rinse and repeat;

Tie them up in a way they can hardly complain about, but stops them actually selling any cars....

Sounds like a good weekend project?

Please boost.

"....other countries keep asking why Americans aren't protesting, but we are & have been - the media isn't covering it...."
Protesters! Keep posting everything to social media. Over and over. Everyone, on every platform should be boosting it to help. Hopefully media from other countries will pick it up and we'll hear about it.

Trump Claims Boycotting Tesla Is Illegal, Which It Very Much Is Not
techdirt.com/2025/03/14/trump-

"Meanwhile, the anger at #Musk & #DOGE is absolutely fueling the #protests, property damage, and public outcry at #Tesla owners & dealerships...

while #Trump can’t currently punish the free public for #protesting, it’s obvious he wants to. Which means he, at least, is no longer operating under the illusion that it’s a #democracy he wants. Nor a #republic."

CLDC: KNOW YOUR RIGHTS

WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE STOPPED BY THE POLICE:

There are 3 distinct categories of police interference with a person's liberties: Conversation, Detention and Arrest. It is important to identify your situation so you know your rights, and remember, anything you say can and will be used against you! Stay calm and in control of your words and actions at all times.

“No #democracy movement has ever failed when it was able to mobilize at least 3.5 % of the population to #protest over a sustained period At that scale, most soldiers have no desire to suppress protesters. Why? Because the crowd includes family members, friends, coworkers, and neighbors. With a population of 327 million, the U.S. would need to mobilize about 11.5 million people to assert popular, democratic power on the government.”

Big ThinkTo overthrow a tyrant, try the 3.5 Percent SolutionA study of 323 uprisings against repressive regimes yields stunning insights.

There are SO MANY protests taking place in Washington DC these days, but I haven't heard of any that are specifically in opposition to the United States interfering with the sovereignty of Canada, Greenland, and/or Panama. I feel compelled to publicly express strong opposition to the idea of our government invading, annexing, or threatening countries that have done nothing to harm us. Does anyone in Washington DC know of any suitable protests?

UPDATE: Musk attacks Musk Watch
muskwatch.com/p/update-musk-at

"the Musk Watch #DOGE Tracker... authoritatively demonstrated that #ElonMusk had been grossly overstating the cuts implemented by DOGE...

#Musk offered no actual critique of the Musk Watch DOGE Tracker's methodology...

Musk Watch is a four-person team, but we can rock the boat of the wealthiest and most powerful man in the world."

🚨 The UK Crime and Policing Bill will create a vast facial recognition database of over 55 million driving licences and ban face coverings at protest 👁️

This would be the biggest biometric database ever created in the UK for policing.

With other rights groups, we're telling politicians to stop the expansion of police surveillance powers 🚫

Read the joint briefing ⬇️

#SafetyNotSurveillance

As Liberty have pointed out, yesterday Labour revived a Tory policy as part of the new Crime & Policing Bill; there is a revival of the attempt to ban face-coverings at protests, which, would seem to me, to be a classic case of a technological shift driving policy.

In the past, the police would have to identify a 'person of interest' catch them & ask them to remove their mask, now with facial recognition technology they need to forbid mask wearing.

Musk's Tesla facilities in US face 'Takedown' protests

bbc.com/news/articles/cnvze9dz

" #Tesla facilities across the #US are facing protests and vandalism in response to the political role #ElonMusk... has played in the #Trump administration.

Most #TeslaTakedown protests have been peaceful, but a few have been destructive with fires intentionally set at Tesla showrooms and charging stations in #Colorado & #Massachusetts last week."
