I was thinking of calling the "Deck of Destiny" the "Duck of Destiny" in honor of Gene Hackman.
I forgot to post last weekend's #ScreenshotSaturday so you get it today! The featured #yokai this time is wanyūdō, a fiery head within a flying wheel. Here he spins around the edges of the screen and shoots fireballs at the player. Leap around the swirling tempest and knock him out!
This content has not been added to the public release yet, but you can still check out the demo of #Hamayumishi on itch now!
A little late for #screenshotsaturday but I'm in Europe, which if you think about it means I'm not late at all,
The Linux build of Death by Scrolling is working now, including Linux on the Steam Deck. We now have Mac, Windows and Linux.
sketching out a little roguelike UI with my textmode font
And now it has been turned into pixel art. Soon a game asset.

This past Sunday was Setsubun (節分), the day before spring according to the old Japanese calendar. On this day, kids throw dried beans at their parents or other adults who wear oni masks. They shout, "Oni wa soto, fuku wa uchi!" ("Out with the demons, in with the good luck!")
To celebrate, Daikon added a new bean attack to #Hamayumishi

This update is not live yet, but you can still play the game for free here:
I'm concerned that my current project may have become unintentionally nightmarish. Thoughts?

Late #screenshotsaturday of my goblin girl prototype. She can now draw her sword, attack while running... and slam into walls if she doesn't turn in time. A bit clumsy our goblin girl!
My next drawing, learning how to draw for gamedev. This one might be an enemy in a desert level. #screenshotsaturday #gamedev #indiedev #kawaii
Upgraded my Marble Platformer game project to #Godot 4.3 after not touching it since last May. 4.3 included a fix to an issue I had with gridmap physics materials so the game feels right again. Was energised to work on the marble visual and add noise to the gradient mapping #ScreenshotSaturday
finally got enough energy and time to continue on my project so I created a #pixelart water effect

What's in your thought when you look at the painting? Find out about what three other students said about it here: altila.itch.io/caged-bird The game is a #visualnovel / #kineticanovel, made for #VeloxTurbo2. Please check it out! #vndev #screenshotsaturday
A jeongisu in Bukchon tells the story of the poor old man who tricked a dokkaebi to become rich in my traditional Korean narrative game Rumorweaver.
I made this Bitsy game a few years ago - inspired by the folklore of keeping the lights of winter burning for protection & a way of welcoming back the ancestors. Definitely inspired by Spectrum visuals too. https://ashg.itch.io/midwinter-spirits #ScreenshotSaturday #retro #indiegamedev #WinterFolklore
This week I released picoCAD on Steam. Humbled by the great reception and support from the community - thank you so much!
browsing through old backups, as one does, and found a screenshot of a tool i wrote for the mac to display net yaroze TMD and RSD files, back in the day.
most of the time i spent working with the net yaroze was making tools so i could develop on a mac, because there was no official mac support
