It's Friday, so here is another FediCoven question.

Question 18

January 24, 2025:

Can you share the most profound experience you've had with witchcraft, where it genuinely affected your life significantly?

(How did this incident influence your continued practice and beliefs?)

------

💫 All who are walking their path are welcome.💫

Something I'm thinking about is how it could be my autism that's making it difficult for me to feel comfortable with the "witch" identity now that I realize I'm transmasc. And yes, I know there are male witches. But, our culture has gendered witch to an extent and I do not and never have felt safe/comfortable in "women's spaces".

Wondering if this is part of being autigender and an example of monotropism.

The Wild Hunt exists because of the generosity and commitment of readers like you. We are proud to be one of the most widely-read news sources for Pagans, created by Pagans for Pagans. If you can, please join our sustainers with a monthly gift. If each person reading this donated as little as $1 a month, we would probably never have to ask again.

#introduction post:
I'm a grey #asexual, agender (if I allow you to pin me down to a specific label), (probably) mildly #ADHD, atheist. Middle aged but only just discovering these things about myself, so I still pass as cis het female. UK based.
Exploring humanity's connection with the natural world around us, so starting to investigate #wicca, though I don't believe in anything supernatural like gods or magic.
I chose this name as watching the birds around my locale is one way to be closer to nature, and I think offering someone a raven's blessing could either be hoping for good, or a veiled insult.
This is an old coin I found in the garden, probably dropped by a bird (we get magpies occasionally) as it was just on the surface.

Hail Freya, it's Friday! Today's #FridayPaganPoll:

In your practice, do you celebrate the holidays of the Wheel of the Year?

For the purposes of this poll, I'm referring to the 8 Wiccan-origin holidays set around the solstices, equinoxes, and cross quarters (still counts even if you change the classic names or celebrations slightly).

After facing discrimination and threats for whom they & their family happen to be, when their community has been struck by catastrophic flooding they have stepped up to do the work of mourning the dead and fighting like hell for the living with everything they have.

Please consider sharing this post and helping them with their work by giving what you can.

Bliss & Blessed Be,
Pax/Geoffrey

#fedicoven October 4, What is your favourite spell or ritual to perform and why?

I do a visualisation ritual in the shower. I reach around my body and pretend to pick up the knots that are causing my muscles to tense. When I've collected all of them, I yank them from my body, sometimes creating an audible cracking sound, and wash them from my hands down the drain. It's a great way to reset your body.

A pixel art study of Juniper. Juniper berries have a fascinating history in folklore! They were believed to have protective powers, often hung over doors to ward off evil spirits. Used to treat ailments like indigestion and respiratory infections, they were valued for their healing properties. Ancient athletes consumed them for stamina, symbolizing vitality. In divination and magic, they were believed to aid in clairvoyance and spellcraft. #mythology #folklore #pixelart #mastoart #wicca #plants
